HeartStripe Press was born from a journey — one shaped by trauma, healing, and the power of literacy to light a way forward.
For me, reading and writing weren’t just skills — they were lifelines. Through journaling, reflection, and learning to name what I felt, I began to rebuild myself piece by piece. What started as survival grew into understanding, and that understanding became a calling: to help others find their own tools for life, growth, and healing.
At HeartStripe Press, we create journals that nurture both mental health and literacy, because the two are deeply connected. The ability to express what we feel — to put words to our world — is how we learn to manage, to cope, to thrive.
Each journal we publish helps people build their own emotional toolboxes, from kindergarten to college and beyond. Through our Next Chapter Project, every purchase helps provide free prompted journals to communities, classrooms, shelters, and programs where reflection and voice can make all the difference.
HeartStripe Press isn’t just about pages — it’s about people. It’s about giving everyone, everywhere, the chance to write their next chapter with strength, hope, and heart.
